I replaced the file with todays version, and yup, crash. EDIT: One of the mods I was trying was only uploaded 2 days ago, and updated 4 hours ago.
GTA 5 DLC FILES LIST MOD
Right now, Im trying to find a brand new Add-On mod post-March update to see if that works, but that will take some time. I also opened the file in editor, saved is as default, and booted the game with no issues, so it doesnt seem to be the editing per se that is breaking it. I also tried a few dlclist automation utilities and they didnt work either. I have tried editing in regular notepad and ensuring the blank spaces were all the same, cause at this point Im at a loss, and that didnt change anything vs Notepad++ or OpenIV's editor. Ive tried adding the mods to the dlcpacks folder in OpenIV and Windows Explorer. I have tried exporting the xml, editing it in notepad++ and overwriting the file to avoid OpenIV's text editor and that didnt work. I have tried them all at once and individually. I thought the issue was with the gameconfig (as mentioned in many other forum posts and threads) but I have tried a few with the current game version (as shown in Properties of the GTA5.exe file) and no change. When I edit the xml, adding any lines, the game crashes after selecting "Story Mode" from the main menu. With the default dlc list, I am able to boot and play, and my other non-Add-On mods (.NET mods, ASI mods, menyoo trainer, Online content spawner, etc) are all working. The issue arises when editing the xml dlclist.

GTA 5 DLC FILES LIST INSTALL
Install a gameconfig file to enable more DLC aka mods.Add-On mods, obviously, add content to the game without replacing it, most notably IRL cars.

I have been trying to mod GTA 5 for the past few days, and am having trouble with Add-On mods.
